Edward Hugh Sothern (1859 – 1933) was an American actor who specialized in dashing, romantic leading roles and particularly in Shakespeare roles.
 
Bound in the original pictorial boards with a handsome, hand colored, drawing of the Ophelia funeral scene by McLellan on the front cover. Illustrated with 17 full-page photos from the original stage production. One of the photos is the actress pictured as Virginia Harned, "Sothern's first wife." The original cast included Cecil B. de Mille. First Edition. Hardcover. Illus. by McLellan (cover art).
