In 1968 Lillian Roxon set out to chronicle the rock scene and counter-culture in what was to be the world's first encyclopaedia of rock music. Lillian Roxon (1932–1973) was a noted Australian journalist and author, best known for Lillian Roxon's Rock Encyclopedia (1969).
