Fife, editorial staff member of the New York Evening World, was assigned to write this work from the take off at Roosevelt Field of Captain Lindbergh with the "Spirit of St. Louis" for the New York to Paris flight.
Red embossed cover with heavy gilt title. Only in fair condition, with a very heavily rolled/shifted spine otherwise secure inside text block with clean pages. 1928 Birthday inscription at front endpaper. Illustrated. 7-1/2 x 5 with 282 pages. Jacket has rubbed edges with small chips at spine ends and clear tape at spine top/bottom. Scarce with jacket!
