Benvenuto Cellini was an Italian goldsmith, sculptor, and author. His best-known extant works include the Cellini Salt Cellar, the sculpture of Perseus with the Head of Medusa, and his autobiography, which has been described as "one of the most important documents of the 16th century."--Wikipedia
Brown leather with four raised bands on the spine and elaborate gilt bordering to the front and rear (with a gilt spine title and decorative endpapers). The outer spine joints are cracked and there are two small leather chips near the bottom of the spine edge and rubbing to the extremities. Secure inner binding with clean pages. About 6-3/4 x 4-1/4 with 509 pp. plus one.
