John Milton is best known for Paradise Lost, widely regarded as the greatest epic poem in English. Together with Paradise Regained, it formed his reputation as one of the greatest English writers.
 
Quarter or half black spine with long black flower at front, black cover title & gilt spine title. Nice condition with owner name at front endpaper, tiny top corner tip bump to a few pages, and very light rubbing to extremities.  6-3/4 x 4-1/2 with 409 pages.
