The ancient Greeks and Egyptians described a mythical bird called the Phoenix, a magnificent creature that was a symbol of renewal and rebirth. According to legend, each Phoenix lived for 500 years, and only one Phoenix lived at a time. Just before its time was up, the Phoenix built a nest and set itself on fire.

 

Quarter buckram with gilt spine title and brown paper over boards. Includes plain brown dust jacket with black center title with decoration and black spine title (jacket with 3/4 inch chip at the top and tear/chip at the bottom and corners). About 9-1/4 x 6-3/4 with 117 pages. Limited edition (1 of 500), this being number 418. Rare with the jacket! This is a reprint of the original 1593 edition.
