Full calf with red swatch and gilt title to spine. Large top chip to the front free endpaper with writing and soil/heavy foxing, and pencil notations at the page opposite the title page. Text block secure and it's a bit loosened at the end. Pages 55-60 have apparent publisher chips at the bottom edge (no loss of text). Clear text pages with only light scattered foxing and a mild bottom corner page surface bump/crease at the center. About 9-3/4 x 6-1/2 with 653 pages. Rare!
