A delightful combination of travel book, guide-book and informal history, "The Story of Bermuda" is, as the author says in his preface, "an attempt to give a feeling of the place in a rendering of an atmosphere which has grown out of climate, scenic beauty, historical events, the character of the people and their manners, the country's architecture, time's mutations."
