The Children's Record Guild (CRG) was a record club for children. Each month a record (10", 78 rpm) would be sent to subscribers through the mail. Sometimes, 2-record sets were sent. Each record/set would have a story or theme that the songs revolved around (fairy tales, American history, educational). The records covered a wide variety of musical styles and instrumentation. The records were meant to entertain and educate at the same time.
